Each of us has ‘wishes’, ‘desires’ and ‘goals’. The three are very different. Wishing for something to happen can take a lifetime. Desiring something is usually driven by a sense of urgency. A goal is, something that must be achieved within a specific timescale. Perhaps, with that in mind, it’s time to turn a ‘wish’ into either a desire or a goal!
I guess silence can bother people. We’re so used to noise that when silence hits,it’s awkward for everyone. It takes 4 seconds of silence to make it awkward between you and that someone in the room or even on the phone. When we’re silent, our minds go through a whole process of analyzing and judgeing. It’s like we dont know the unknown and so we’re scared of silence. They say silence is a girl’s loudest cry… In some ways i believe that, but silence on the phone with him, to me isn’t. Having him on the other line is enough for me. There’s silence between us but it’s not the awkward type. Just knowing he’s on the other line satisfies me. I mean yes, it can be dangerous at times because theres a sense of lack of communication that forms a barrier. But overall we got to learn how to accept silence and not be scared of it. Mu point is, when there’s silence on the phone… it’s not always “awkward silence”
